Terms and conditions of sale

These terms govern the sale of tickets and registrations for events organised by the association: parties, activities, outings and trips. Placing an order implies full acceptance of these terms.

1Identification of the organiser

The eisco.fr website is published by Erasmus International Student Community, a non-profit association governed by the French law of 1 July 1901, registered with the French national register of associations under number W013005120.

  • Registered office: 76 allée Pierre Blanchet, 34090 Montpellier, France
  • Email: contact@eisco.fr
  • Publication director: Quentin Fontana
  • Professional liability insurance: MAIF, policy no. 4847803D

2Purpose and scope

These terms and conditions of sale govern the sale of tickets and registrations for events organised by the association — parties, activities, outings and trips (hereinafter “the Events”) — sold on the eisco.fr website.

Placing an order implies full and unreserved acceptance of these terms, which the participant acknowledges having read before confirming their purchase. The applicable terms are those in force on the date of the order.

3Conditions of participation — minimum age

Proof of identity may be required at the entrance to the Event. Anyone unable to prove that they are of age will be refused entry, with no right to a refund.

4Tickets and ordering

4.1 Ticket types. Each Event offers one or more ticket types — tiered prices (Early, Standard, Last Minute) or separate packages. The exact content of each ticket, including services and options, is described on the Event page.

4.2 Ordering process. Orders are placed online: select the ticket and quantity, enter the participant’s details, pay securely. The order is final only once payment is confirmed. A confirmation email, together with the ticket and its QR code, is sent to the participant.

4.3 Availability. Tickets are offered subject to availability. A ticket shown as “Sold out” is unavailable. Should unavailability be found after an order has been placed — a technical error — the participant is informed and fully refunded for that ticket.

5Prices and payment

5.1 Prices. Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included. The applicable price is the one displayed at the time of the order: that is the price paid, with no later surcharge. Tiered prices change according to quotas and dates, with no retroactive effect on orders already placed.

5.2 Payment. Payment is made online by bank card. The participant is redirected to a payment page hosted by Stripe: card details are entered there directly and never pass through our servers. The order is firm once payment is taken.

Some Events are free. In that case, registration takes place without payment and produces the same ticket and the same QR code.

6No right of withdrawal

In accordance with article L221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code, the fourteen-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services to be provided on a specific date or during a specific period.

Tickets and registrations for Events are therefore not subject to any right of withdrawal.

7Cancellation — non-refundable tickets

7.1 Cancellation by the participant. Tickets are firm, final and non-refundable, whatever the reason for the participant’s cancellation (personal circumstances, illness, etc.), save where mandatory law provides otherwise. Participants are advised to check their availability before purchasing and, for trips, to take out cancellation insurance with the provider of their choice — it is not included in the ticket.

7.2 Ticket transfer. Subject to requirements specific to certain Events, tickets are not personal and may therefore be transferred. Where a ticket is transferred, the association must be notified by email at contact@eisco.fr.

7.3 Cancellation or change by the organiser. If the association cancels an Event, the sums paid for the ticket are refunded in full, to the exclusion of any other compensation (personal travel costs, etc.). In the event of a substantial change — date, venue — the participant may choose between keeping their registration and obtaining a refund. Force majeure, within the meaning of article 1218 of the French Civil Code, is assessed in accordance with the law.

8Provisions specific to trips and outings

8.1 Documents and formalities. For Events involving travel, in particular abroad, participants are solely responsible for the validity of their documents — identity card, passport, visa, health documents. No refund is due where boarding or entry is refused because of non-compliant documents.

8.2 Participant’s insurance. The association’s liability insurance covers its activity as an organiser. It does not replace the participant’s own insurance (personal liability, health and repatriation cover, cancellation, luggage), which is their responsibility and is strongly recommended for trips abroad.

8.3 Running of the Event. Programmes are indicative and may be adapted — weather, safety, local constraints. Such adjustments do not constitute substantial changes giving rise to a right to a refund.

9Participant’s conduct

Participants undertake to comply with the organisers’ instructions, the schedule, the venues and the other participants. The association reserves the right to refuse entry to, or to remove without refund, any participant whose behaviour jeopardises the safety or proper running of the Event — in particular obvious drunkenness, violence or failure to follow instructions.

10Liability

The association is responsible for the proper organisation of Events under ordinary law. It cannot be held liable for damage resulting from the participant’s own actions, from the unforeseeable and insurmountable act of a third party, or from force majeure. Participants’ personal belongings remain in their sole custody.

11Image rights

Photographs and videos may be taken during Events for the association’s communications — website, social media, promotional material. By taking part in an Event, participants are informed of this.

For atmosphere shots in which they are not the main subject, participants may object to publication, or request removal, by simply writing to contact@eisco.fr.

Images in which the participant is identifiable and is the main subject — portraits, close-ups — are used only with their consent. Where consent has been obtained, it may be withdrawn at any time for the future, at the same address.

12Personal data

Data collected when ordering — identity, contact details — is processed by the association to manage registrations, ticketing and Event-related communications. It is never sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.

Details of the processing carried out, the list of sub-processors, retention periods and how to exercise your rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent) are set out in the privacy policy. Any request may be made to contact@eisco.fr.

13Consumer mediation

In accordance with articles L612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, participants may use a consumer mediator free of charge where a dispute has not been resolved by a prior written complaint addressed to the association.

A prior complaint should be sent in writing to contact@eisco.fr. The association is currently appointing an approved consumer mediator; their details will be published here as soon as they are settled. In the meantime, participants retain all the remedies set out in article 14.

14Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first — complaint to contact@eisco.fr. Failing that, and after any recourse to the mediation provided for in article 13, the French courts shall have jurisdiction under ordinary law.
